Acupuncture and Allergies

Spring is officially here and the word is that allergy season has started sooner this year and will last longer. So, it’s time to begin a course of acupuncture to relieve your discomfort. By addressing the causes, boosting your immune system and treating you as a whole person, relief can be realized and sustained with acupuncture.

We’re all fighting the pollen from trees, weeds, grasses, flowers, and dust, just to name a few. That is a lot of material for our bombarded bodies to assimilate and handle. The result is: itchy eyes and throat, runny nose, sinus congestion, sneezing, and sometimes headaches. It can turn the excitement of the beginning of spring, with more sunshine and warmer weather, into a physical disaster.

Initially, acupuncture treatment manages your symptoms. As the course of treatment continues, the frequency and severity of outbreaks diminishes. Then future allergic responses can be prevented, assessing each person individually.

Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine evaluate each person’s unique imbalances when determining a diagnosis. In some cases, we may recommend nutritional supplements or herbs in conjunction with acupuncture to enhance your progress.

We want to help each of you be comfortable and enjoy your life, while meeting life’s daily demands.
